Meet Yvonne
I’m Yvonne Morris, a consultant for LJ Digital and Data Consultancy. I am delighted to be working with Lisa and the team to help non-profit organisations in navigating and implementing practices to comply with data protection and privacy law. Working with organisations of all sizes I lead, guide and support all aspects of compliance from audits, carrying out risk assessment, implementing policies, and devising and delivering training.
With over twenty-five years of experience working in professional bodies and trade associations, and in the academic and charity sectors, I have vast experience in policy, compliance, ethics, and equalities. My experience and expertise were gained in several roles, including as Programmes Manager, and prior to this Policy Manager at CILIP and as Information Manager at the Chartered Institute of Marketing and working in rights management for the Guild of Master Craftsman Publications. Starting my early career in Information Management at the London School of Economics, University of Brighton and the National Council for Civil Liberties, my wide-ranging portfolio includes the development of professional policy to promote and defend the right to privacy in the library, information and cultural heritage sectors, advising on research data management, open access, copyright, professional ethics, and equalities, including processing equalities data.
I am a Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) and Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), and hold the Chartered Institute of IT’s Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection. I hold a Law degree from the University of London, and Masters degrees in Information Management (Brighton) and Social Policy (Bristol).
